The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.


Dr. Smith was raised in Hightstown, New Jersey. He graduated Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College in 1977 receiving his Bachelor of Science degrees in both biology and mathematics.In 1981, he graduated from Temple University receiving his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. Subsequently, he completed his Residency in Podiatric Surgery at Kern Hospital for Special Surgery in Detroit, Michigan.

After his residency, he returned to New Jersey to practice. He has been an active member of the University Medical Center at Princeton for 20 years.

In 1987, he passed his Board Certification in Foot and Ankle Surgery with re-certification in 1997. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.


Dr. Hasan attended Ursinus College on a 4-year Merit Scholarship and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2000. She completed a one year residency in Primary Podiatric Medicine at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, NJ. She then completed a two year residency in Podiatric Surgery at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston, TX.

Dr. Hasan is double board certified. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in both foot and rearfoot/ankle surgery and by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Hasan joined Princeton Orthopaedic Associates in 2003. She is a member of the attending staff and Credentials Committee of the University Medical Center at Princeton. In April 2009, Dr. Hasan became the Chief of Podiatry in the Department of Surgery at the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Dr. Hasan is a member of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society and the American Podiatric Medical Association. She specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of all foot and ankle disorders.  


Dr. Blanchette was born and raised in the province of Québec in Canada. Upon graduation from Podiatric Medical School, in 2009, she practiced in Canada for one year.

In 2010, Dr. Blanchette decided to pursue further surgical training in the United-States. She relocated to New York where she studied for an additional year at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

She then went on to complete a 3 years surgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx NY, serving as chief resident in the final year. At Montefiore Medical Center Dr. Blanchette was extensively trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including trauma and reconstructive surgery. Currently, Dr. Blanchette is a Board qualified surgeon.

Dr. Blanchette is fluent in French and in English.
